The college is located out in Hatundi, which is a bit of a drive from the main part of Ajmer. It’s a quiet area, mostly fields and small houses around us. Being a women’s teacher training college, we see a lot of local students who travel in from nearby villages every morning. The road out here to 305012 can be a bit dusty in the summer, and the heat in Rajasthan really hits the building by noon. We don’t have any big flashy halls or anything like that. It’s just a set of sturdy classrooms where the future teachers sit and do their work. The staff here are local people who understand what it’s like living and working in this part of Ajmer. Sometimes the power goes out, or the water delivery is late, but we just manage with what we have. It’s not a fancy place, but it’s where the work happens. You’ll find us mostly busy with the paperwork and the practical sessions that go on throughout the week. We’ve become a regular part of the Hatundi landscape over time. There isn't much noise around here except for the students talking during their lunch breaks. It’s a simple operation, really. We just show up, do the job of training these women, and head home when the sun starts to go down. It’s honest work in a quiet corner of the district.
