Swadeshi Saree Bhandar

Swadeshi Saree Bhandar is our little shop over in Naya Bazar. It’s not a big place with glass windows and air conditioning. It’s just a regular shop where we keep our sarees. We’ve been in Naya Bazar for a good amount of time now. The street outside is always full of rickshaws and people carrying bags. Inside, it’s a bit quieter, but not by much. We have sarees piled up on all the shelves. We don't really follow any corporate rules here. We just open when we’re supposed to and help whoever comes in. Some days it’s really quiet and we just chat with the other shop owners nearby. Other days, we don't have a moment to sit down. We try to keep the prices fair and the quality honest. We don't go around saying we are the best or anything like that. That’s for the customers to decide. We just focus on keeping the stock fresh and the shop running. It’s a lot of hard work, especially during the wedding season. My kids sometimes come by after school to help out with the folding. It’s a family thing for us. We don't have any big plans to expand or move. We like being right here in Naya Bazar. It's where we belong and it’s where we do our business every day.
