If you’re looking for Rajhans Handicrafts, we’re tucked away in Teli Mohalla. It’s right near the Shiv Mandir in Madanganj. Most people use the temple as a landmark because our street can be very easy to miss if you’re not looking closely for the sign. We make handicrafts here. It’s a bit of a messy place, with wood shavings and tools lying around on the floor. We’ve got a few artisans who sit and work on pieces all day long. It’s not a quiet workshop at all. There’s always the sound of hammering or carving happening in the back. We’ve been in this neighborhood for many years now. The Shiv Mandir is basically our neighbor, so we hear the temple bells every morning and evening. It’s a nice vibe for working. We don’t have a fancy display window or a glossy catalog to show people. We just show whatever we currently have on the workbenches. People come by to see what’s being made at the moment. Sometimes we have a lot of stock, other times we’re just working on custom orders for local folks. It’s a local operation through and through. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on people seeing our work and telling their friends. Madanganj is a busy place, but our little corner feels like home. We just keep our heads down and keep making things. That’s all there is to it.
