Soni Pan Corner

Soni Pan Corner is located right near the Ramganj Police Chowki. Being so close to the police post makes the area feel safe and there is always someone around. Our shop is quite small and tucked into a little corner of the street. I have been running this place for a while now and I know most of the people who live in Ramganj. We start the day by setting out all the jars and making sure the betel leaves are fresh and cold. It is a messy business with all the pastes and powders but I enjoy the work. We get a lot of people who stop by after their dinner for a pan. Even the officers from the chowk come by sometimes when they are off duty. The street outside can get very crowded with people going to the market and we have to work fast to keep up. We don't have a big sign or anything special to look at. It is just a local spot where people can get what they need. Sometimes the weather is bad and we have to pull down the shutters a bit early but usually we stay open late. It is a simple life and we are happy to be a part of the daily routine here in this part of town.
