National Auto Parts

National Auto Parts is situated out on the Parbatpura Byepass Road. It’s a different kind of place compared to the shops in the middle of town. We deal with heavy parts, so there is usually a bit of grease on the floor and the smell of oil in the air. The shop is full of big boxes containing gaskets, filters, and metal components for trucks and cars. Since we are on the bypass, we get a lot of long-distance drivers who have broken down or need a specific part to keep their vehicle moving. It’s a practical environment. We have heavy metal shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, and sometimes we have to use a ladder to get what a customer needs. My hands are rarely clean by the end of the day, but that’s just part of the job when you work with auto parts. The traffic on the bypass is constant, so there is always a low roar of engines in the background. We don't have a fancy waiting area, just a wooden bench outside under the shade of the roof. People come here because they need something specific to get back on the road. We know our inventory well, even if the shop looks a bit cluttered to an outsider. It’s hard work, moving heavy items and helping people figure out what's wrong with their engines, but it’s what we know.
