Gangotri Computer Services

Our little shop, Gangotri Computer Services, is right on Station Road. It’s a great spot because there are always people coming and going from the trains. We see a lot of different faces every day. Mostly, we deal with broken laptops, printers that won't start, and people who have lost their data. The shop is filled with old wires, spare parts, and half-opened computer towers. It might look like a bit of a mess to someone else, but we know exactly where every screw and cable is kept. The sound of the trains passing by is something we don't even notice anymore, though it makes the windows rattle a little bit. We usually have a few machines running at once, doing updates or scans, so the room stays pretty warm from all the fans blowing. We don't bother with fancy uniforms or corporate talk. If a computer is fixable, we tell you, and if it's junk, we tell you that too. Sometimes we stay late into the evening trying to figure out a tricky motherboard issue while eating dinner at the workbench. It’s just us doing our best with the tools we have. Station Road is a busy place, but we like the energy of it. We have a small stool for customers to sit on while they wait, and there's usually a newspaper lying around to read.
