Our little corner in Ghati Ganj is usually full of people looking for a quick juice. We have been in this spot for some time. It's a small shop, not much room to sit inside, so most people just stand on the pavement while they drink. I spend most of my morning cutting up fruit and getting the blender ready. The oranges and seasonal fruits arrive early, sometimes before I even open the shutters. It’s not a quiet place because of the traffic outside, but we like the energy. My cousin works the afternoon shift. We keep the fridge stocked with sodas too. It’s honest work. Sometimes the fruit isn't as sweet as we want, but we pick the best ones we can find at the market each morning. There’s a lot of washing up to do, keeping the glasses clean and the counter wiped down. Ghati Ganj is a busy part of town, so there's always someone walking past. We don't have a fancy menu, just the usual juices that people like. It gets sticky sometimes when we are busy. We don't do anything special, just serve what we have. If the machine breaks, we fix it ourselves. It’s a local spot. People come by after work or while they are shopping. We’ve seen kids grow up around here. It's just a regular daily routine for us, nothing more, nothing less. We just keep the fruit fresh and the blender running as long as there are people waiting outside on the street.
