We are up on the second floor, right above the Surbhi Hotel. It’s near the temple in Khailand Market, so it’s a location that most locals know quite well. Being in Khailand Market means it’s always lively outside, though it’s a bit quieter once you get up the stairs to our shop. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. The room has big windows, but they’re usually covered with some posters or old parts. It’s not the most organized place in the world, as we have motherboards and power cables lying around on different desks. We just move things around as we need more space to work on a new job. People find us by walking past the hotel and coming up the stairs. It’s a bit of a climb, but we’re here all day. Most of our work is just troubleshooting why something isn't booting up or why it's running so slow. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for software to install or for tests to finish. It’s a small operation, just us and the tools we’ve gathered over the years. We don’t really do any advertising; people just know we’re above the Surbhi Hotel. It’s a practical way to run a business without too much overhead. We see the same faces from the market quite often, which is nice. It feels like a normal part of the neighborhood. We just keep our heads down and work on the machines that people bring in. It's a steady life.
