I’ve been at Hmt Industrial Area for a good while now. It’s a busy spot with lots of noise and dust from the surrounding factories. At J C Computer, we mostly handle whatever walks through the door. Sometimes it’s a laptop that won’t turn on or a printer that’s jammed up again. We don't have a big fancy showroom with glass walls or anything like that. It’s mostly just desks covered in screws and motherboards. People around here know where to find us when their office machines start acting up. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially when the power fluctuates, but we keep the fans going and stay busy. The workbench is always messy because there is always something being taken apart or put back together. We stock some basic parts too, like keyboards and mice, because people always seem to spill tea on theirs. If you walk past the main gate in the industrial area, you’ll see our small sign hanging there. We usually have a pile of old monitors sitting in the corner waiting for recycling. It's not a glamorous job, but it keeps us working and the neighbors seem to appreciate having someone close by who knows how to swap out a hard drive or clean a cooling fan. Sometimes the rain leaks in a bit near the back door, so we have to move the boxes around. It's just me and a couple of other guys mostly. We don't mind the mess. It's the kind of place where you can sit and talk about what's wrong with your PC without feeling rushed. We take our time to see what's actually broken.
