Shiv Shakti Art Handicraft

Shiv Shakti Art Handicraft is situated right at Brahma Chowk. If you look below the Alka Guest House in Badi Basti, you will find our workshop. It is a very lively part of town with a lot of people walking by all the time. We work on different types of handicrafts. The space is filled with wood, tools, and half-finished pieces. It is not a very large shop, so things can get a bit cluttered. We have been working in this neighborhood for a long time. People often stop by just to see what we are making. We do not have a big sales team. It is just us doing the carving and the assembly ourselves. The street outside is always noisy with the sounds of the market and the tourists. We like the energy of Badi Basti. Sometimes we work late into the evening when there is a big project to finish. The lighting in the shop isn't the best, but we know where everything is. We don't really do much in the way of advertising. Usually, someone sees our work at a friend's house and then they come looking for Brahma Chowk. It is a very manual process and every piece we make is a little bit different from the last one. We just enjoy the craft and the fact that we can do this for a living. It's not a fancy life but it's ours.
