Western Trading

If you know Kalupur, you know how busy the lanes get, especially around Lane Number 2 in Panchkuwya. Our shop, number 2060, is tucked right into the Navi Mohalat area. It’s a tight squeeze sometimes when the deliveries come in. We deal with a lot of different items every day. The morning starts with opening up the heavy shutters and checking what needs to go out. It’s dusty work because of all the movement in the market. There are always people walking past, asking for directions or looking for something specific. Western Trading is just a small piece of this whole busy puzzle. We spend most of our time on the phone or writing down orders in the register. It’s not quiet here. You hear the tea sellers and the carts rattling on the stone paths all day long. We’ve been in this building for a good bit now. Sometimes the light in the lane isn't the best, but we manage. We keep the stock piled up as neatly as we can in such a small space. It takes a lot of effort to keep track of everything coming from the suppliers. Most of our day is just moving boxes and talking to the regulars who drop by. It’s a bit messy but it’s how things work in this part of town. We don't have a lot of space for a desk, so we usually just work around the piles. It’s just a normal trading business in a very old part of the city.
