Relief Tools Centre

The shop is right across from the Anand Shopping Center on Pir Mohammed Shah Road. It is an old street with a lot of character and a lot of traffic. We sell tools, so the walls are covered in wrenches, hammers, and drills hanging on hooks. The shop is narrow and goes back quite a way. It smells like metal and new plastic in here. We spend most of our time standing behind the wooden counter helping people find the right size bolt or a specific tool they need for a job at home. It’s a bit dark inside because the building is old and the street is crowded. We have boxes piled up in the aisles, so you have to watch your step. There’s no fancy computer system here; we mostly know where everything is by memory. Sometimes it gets hectic when several people come in at once asking for different things. Pir Mohammed Shah Road is always full of people, so there is plenty to see out the front door. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything. We just open up in the morning, sweep the front, and wait for the first customer. It’s a simple hardware life. We like the regulars who come in just to chat for a minute while they buy their supplies. The bell on the door is broken, so you just have to walk right in.
