We are located at 10 Vaishnavi Main Road in Vaishnavi Nagar. Vishnu Gum And Chemicals is a small place where we handle exactly what the name says. Thirumullaivayail is where we’ve set up our shop. It’s not a very fancy neighborhood, but it works well for a business like ours. We have bags of gum and containers of chemicals stacked around the back. It’s a lot of heavy lifting sometimes, which keeps us busy. The office part is just a small room where we keep the invoices and the old computer. It’s usually just a couple of us here during the day. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy. Most people know us because they’ve been coming here for a long time. It can get a bit messy with the dust from the gum, but we try to keep it organized as best as we can. The road outside is usually quiet compared to the city center, which is nice. We spend our time checking the quality of what comes in and what goes out to customers. It’s not the most exciting work, but it’s what we know. We don't have a mission or a fancy philosophy for the business. We just sell gum and chemicals and try to be fair about it. Some days the humidity makes the gum a bit sticky to work with, but we manage somehow. It’s just a normal, everyday business for us.
