Vikalp Fashion

We've been running Vikalp Fashion here in Kankaria for a good while now. It’s just a regular shop where we keep a variety of clothes. Most days, it’s just us unfolding things and putting them back on the shelves after someone looks through them. The neighborhood around Kankaria is always busy, especially in the evenings when people are out walking. We have a lot of stacks of different fabrics and outfits piled up. Sometimes the lights flicker a bit when it rains, but we just keep going. It’s not a fancy place with big carpets or anything. We just have simple racks and a couple of stools for people to sit on if they get tired. My nephew usually helps me out on the weekends when it gets a bit more crowded. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the folks who live nearby. They stop in to see what came in recently or just to say hello while they’re headed home. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons because the sun hits the front window directly, so we usually keep the fan on high. We don't have a big sign outside, just enough so people know where we are. It’s a lot of work keeping everything clean and making sure the inventory is right. We just do our thing here every day, from morning until we close up for dinner. It’s a simple life.
