Vijay Medical And Provision Stores is on the ground floor, Shop No.7 at Shanti Arcade. We are right on the 132 Feet Road, just opposite Pushpak Appartment in Naranpura, Ahmedabad. It’s a good spot because there’s always a lot of traffic and people walking by. We’ve been here for some time now, just selling medicines and general stuff for the house. It gets quite dusty with the main road right there, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the glass cases and the floor. People from Pushpak Appartment often come across to grab things they forgot at the big supermarket. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It’s just a regular store where you can get your prescriptions filled or pick up a bottle of oil. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud we have to ask customers to repeat themselves, but we manage. We aren't some big corporate office; it’s just us working behind the counter. We keep an eye on what people are asking for so we can stock it next time. Naranpura is a busy area, and being at Shanti Arcade keeps us right in the middle of everything. We keep regular hours and don't take many holidays. It’s just how we run things here. There is no complicated philosophy behind it, just staying open and helping people get their supplies. We have some plastic chairs if people need to wait, but usually, we are quick enough that they don't need them.
