Syntron Industries is over here at Plot 411/5. It’s Phase-2 of the GIDC. We’ve seen the area change over the years. Some businesses leave and new ones come in, but we’re still here at the same spot. The building is a bit old now, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. Inside, it’s mostly just machines and stock piled up. We deal with whatever orders come in that week. Sometimes it’s a lot, and we’re all rushing around trying to keep up. Other times, it’s a bit quieter and we can actually catch our breath. We don't have a big HR team or anything like that. If there's a problem, you just talk to the person next to you. My desk is usually covered in papers and sample bits. The dust from the road comes in through the windows if we leave them open, but you need the air. It’s a bit noisy with the traffic from the main GIDC road, but you stop hearing it after an hour. Lunch is usually a tiffin brought from home. We sit on the plastic chairs near the entrance and talk about the news or cricket. It’s a straightforward life. We focus on the tasks we have for the day and go home when the sun sets. We don’t really do fancy meetings or long reports. We just get the work done and hope the machines don't act up. It’s just how things are for us.
