At Plot No. C-1-240/2 in Phase-2 of the Gidc, things are always moving for Ankur Chemicals. We deal with a lot of different chemicals here, so there are always drums and containers stacked up in the corner. The air has that sharp, distinct smell that you only find in a chemical plant. We spend a lot of time checking labels and making sure everything is stored in the right spot. It’s a lot of heavy lifting when the shipments come in, and everyone pitches in to get the truck unloaded quickly. We’ve been in Phase-2 for quite some time, and we’ve seen the neighboring plots change hands many times. Our office is just a small room with a computer that’s seen better days and a bunch of files. We don’t have any fancy signs or decorations. We just focus on the mixing and the packing. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when the rain leaks through the roof, but we just put out buckets and carry on. It’s a practical kind of life here. We follow the same routine every morning, starting with a quick meeting to see what needs to go out first. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We mostly talk about the work and the traffic on the way in. It’s just us doing our part in the industrial estate and getting orders out the door to the customers who need them.
