At Plot No. A-1/210 in Phase-2 of the Gidc, you’ll find us busy with the chemical work we’ve been doing for years. It’s a sturdy building, though it could probably use a fresh coat of paint one of these days. Inside, it’s all about the vats and the barrels. We spend a lot of time checking temperatures and making sure the mixes are right. It’s not glamorous work. You have to wear the heavy boots and the gloves even when it’s humid outside. The smell of the chemicals is just a part of the air here, something we don't even think about anymore. We have a small crew, and everyone knows their job. There’s not much talking when things are busy. We just get on with the batches. During the monsoon, the water sometimes pools near the entrance, so we have to watch our step. We don't have a fancy lobby for visitors. If you come by, you’ll likely just see us in our work clothes moving drums around. It’s a steady pace. We aren't trying to be the biggest place on the block, just trying to do the work properly so we can go home at the end of the day. The trucks arrive in the morning, and we spend the rest of the day getting everything ready for them. It's just normal life in the industrial estate. We just focus on the chemistry and let the rest take care of itself.
