We are located in the Soham Complex, specifically on the C wing’s 2nd floor. It’s right by Soni Ni Chali Cross Roads in Odhav Gam. Vatsalya Neonatal And Children Hospital isn't on the ground floor, so people have to use the stairs or the lift to get to us. Odhav is a busy industrial kind of area, and it gets quite dusty. The hospital is dedicated to newborns and older kids. It’s a bit cramped sometimes because the complex wasn't originally built for a hospital, but we’ve made it work. We have the units for the babies and the regular rooms for the bigger kids. Being at Soni Ni Chali Cross Roads means it's easy to reach by bus or rickshaw. We don't have a big lobby with fancy chairs. People just sit where they can. The 2nd floor gives us a bit of a view of the chaos below. We are just a group of people working together. There’s no big corporation owning us. We handle the paperwork ourselves and talk to the parents directly. It’s a very hands-on place. Sometimes the lift in Soham Complex acts up, which is a bit of a headache, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the most modern place in Odhav, just a place that is there when needed. It’s an honest, busy hospital for the local families. We keep the floors scrubbed and the equipment ready, regardless of how much noise is outside.
