Our place, Vandana Apparels, is situated in R K Estate, right there at D 64-65. If you are looking for us, just find Shital Cinema in Gomtipur. We are directly opposite to it. It’s a busy part of town, always plenty of noise and people moving about. The workshop itself is a bit of a squeeze because we have so much stuff packed in. Boxes are stacked up in the corners and the cutting table takes up most of the middle room. We’ve been in Gomtipur for years, and we’ve seen the area change quite a bit, but we’re still here doing the same thing every day. It’s a lot of manual work. We check the seams, pack the items, and move them out. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, and we just sit outside the estate and chat until it comes back on. It’s just the way things are. We don’t have a fancy website or anything like that. People mostly find us because they know the cinema or they work in the other units at R K Estate. We focus on getting the clothes ready. It’s messy work sometimes with all the lint and dust, but it’s honest. We don’t mind the heat too much once the fans are going. It’s just a regular local business trying to stay on top of the pile of orders we get every month. We drink a lot of tea to stay awake.
