United Chemical

Our office is on the second floor of the Anupam No.2 building. We’re right at Swastik Char Rasta in Navrangpura. It’s a busy intersection, so there’s always the sound of traffic coming through the windows. United Chemical has been operating from this spot for a good while now. It’s mostly just a regular office space with some desks and a few cabinets full of records. We don’t manufacture anything here; we handle the distribution and the paperwork side of things. We have a few samples on the shelves, but mostly it’s catalogs and technical sheets. The elevator in the building is a bit old and slow, so I usually just take the stairs. It’s a good way to wake up in the morning. We spend a lot of time on the phone with factories and suppliers. It’s a lot of checking batch numbers and delivery schedules. Sometimes the clients come by to settle their accounts or just to have a quick chat about the market. We keep a ledger for everything because we like having it on paper. The staff here is small, just four of us who know the business well. We aren’t trying to be some giant corporation. We just want to make sure the orders are processed correctly and the right chemicals get to the right places. It’s steady work and it keeps us occupied from morning till evening. We just keep it simple.
