Umesh Apparels is on the second floor of the Mahalaxmi Complex. We are at unit number 214, right on Ghee Kanta Road. This whole area is famous for clothes and fabric, so there’s always a lot of competition and energy in the air. Getting up to the second floor can be a bit of a squeeze when the hallways are full of deliveries. Our space is packed with racks of clothing. We don't spend money on fancy decorations; we just have shelves and bars to hang the stock. The lighting isn't great, but it’s enough to see the colors and the stitching. We spend our days sorting through new arrivals and checking for any defects. It’s a lot of manual labor, moving boxes and re-folding items that customers have looked through. We have a small desk near the window where we handle the money and the phone calls. Sometimes it gets really hot in the afternoons, and we have to keep the fans running at full speed. We aren't a big corporation, just a small team trying to keep up with the trends. Most of our buyers come from the nearby markets. They know we stay here late to get things ready for the next morning. It’s a simple setup, but we’ve been here long enough that people trust we’ll have what they’re looking for in the pile.
