We’ve been tucked away here in Bopal for quite some time now, right behind Shivashish Society in Kinarivala Park. It’s a busy spot but we like it. Most days it’s just us surrounded by rolls of tracing paper and half-empty coffee cups. It’s not a fancy setup, but it works for what we do. People come in with an idea for a house or maybe just a kitchen renovation, and we try to figure out how to make it happen without it costing a fortune. Ahmedabad gets so hot in the summer, so we spend a lot of time thinking about how to keep buildings cool without just blasting the AC all day. It’s a lot of back and forth, honestly. We draw something, the client changes their mind, and then we draw it again. That’s just how it goes. We don’t have any big corporate slogans or anything like that. We just enjoy the process of seeing a wall go up where there wasn't one before. Our office at 107 Kinarivala Park is where most of the magic, or the mess, happens. Sometimes the printer jams when we have a deadline, and everyone gets a bit stressed, but we usually manage to get the drawings out the door on time. It’s a good life, mostly. We’re just local folks trying to build things that won’t fall down or look outdated in five years.
