We spend most of our days here at the Shubhlaxmi Industrial Estate. It’s a busy spot tucked behind Swagat Switchgear. Timbor- Maloo Building Materials Pvt. Ltd. is basically where we handle all the supplies people need for their construction projects. Being out on the Sarkhaj-Bavla Road in the village of Moraiya means we see a lot of trucks and workers coming through. It is not a fancy office at all. We mostly deal with the logistics of building stuff and moving heavy items. The yard gets pretty dusty during the dry season. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it is just us sorting through the inventory. We have been in the Changodar area for a while now. Most people around here know where we are located. We just try to keep things moving. If a contractor needs something specific, we find it in the stacks. It is hard work, especially in the heat, but that is just how the building material business goes. We do not have a marketing team or anything like that. It is just us making sure the orders get loaded correctly onto the trucks. Sometimes we have a tea break and talk about the traffic on the main road. It gets pretty backed up near the village entrance. We just focus on the task at hand. If you are looking for us, look for the sign near the switchgear place. We usually shut the gates by seven, but sometimes we stay later if a shipment is late.
