The Metropole Hotel

We are over here at The Metropole Hotel, tucked into the Deepbhoomi Residency-1. It’s right near the ONGC Colony in the Chandkheda area of Gandhinagar. Most people know the spot because of the 382 424 pin code area being a bit busy lately. Our building, D-11, is where we spend most of our days. It isn’t a fancy corporate skyscraper or anything like that. We mostly just deal with the folks coming through for work or visiting family in the residency. The morning starts early here when the sun hits the front of the residency. You can hear the traffic starting up on the main road toward Gandhinagar. Inside, it’s just the usual stuff. We have some chairs in the lobby that have seen better days but they’re comfortable enough. Someone usually has a radio playing somewhere in the back. We don't really have a big team, just a few of us who know the neighborhood well. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit but we just carry on. It’s a practical place for people who need a roof and a bed without a lot of fuss. We spend a lot of time talking to the delivery guys and the neighbors from the ONGC side. It feels more like a part of the local street than a big isolated business. That’s just how it is around here in Chandkheda. Most of our guests just want a quiet night after a long day.
