Hotel Manager

This place is located at C-53 in the Harinandan Complex, right across from Chhagan Bhani Wadi. We are on the Arbudanagar Road in Odhav, which is a pretty active part of Ahmedabad-15. Dealing with a hotel or lodging place in an industrial area like Odhav means we see all sorts of people. Most are here for work or passing through the city. The complex itself has a few different shops and businesses, so there is always something going on downstairs. We spend most of our time at the desk or checking on the rooms to see if things are working okay. The plumbing or the fans sometimes need a look, that's just how old buildings are. Ahmedabad gets really hot in the summer months so we make sure the coolers are running. It isn't a fancy setup with a big lobby or anything like that. It’s just a practical place to stay for someone who needs to be in this side of town. We’ve been at this address for a bit and the locals know us. Sometimes people come in asking for directions because the road can get a bit confusing with all the trucks moving around. We just try to be helpful and keep the place quiet enough for people to sleep. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the cleaning and the paperwork every single day, but it’s what we do. We don't use big words to describe it, it’s just a room for the night in a busy part of Ahmedabad. We keep the keys ready and the rooms aired out.
