Oasis Beach Hotel

Our place is at 23, Rajsuya Bunglows on Satellite Road. It’s up near Ramdevnagar Tekra. It’s an interesting spot for a hotel named Oasis Beach since we are right in the middle of Ahmedabad and nowhere near an actual beach or the ocean. People ask about that name sometimes when they check in. We just tell them it’s the name on the sign. The area around Satellite Road is usually pretty packed with traffic and people going to work in the mornings. We are in a residential-looking building, so it feels a bit more quiet once you step inside from the busy street. I usually spend my time in the small office area or checking on the rooms upstairs to make sure everything is in place for guests. The neighborhood has changed a lot over the years. More shops and cafes have opened up around the Tekra recently. We’ve got a few regulars who stay with us whenever they’re in town for their own business. It’s a simple setup we have here. We don’t have a big fancy lobby with marble floors or anything like that. Just some decent chairs and a wooden desk where we keep the guest register book. Sometimes the power goes out in the heat of the summer, and we have to get the generator going. That’s just life in this city. We try to keep things tidy and make sure there’s enough tea for whoever wants some. It’s a small operation run by just a few of us, and we like the pace.
