Hotel The Westend

This is where we run the operations for Hotel The Westend. Our office is located at number 8, Somata Raw House, which is right near Gitanjali School in the Vithalnagar Tekra area. It’s tucked away on the Vatva Gidc Rd in Ahmedabad. Since we are in the GIDC zone, there are a lot of industrial plants and factories nearby, so the road stays busy with workers and heavy vehicles. The raw house setup is nice because it feels a bit more like a home than a stiff office building. We have our desks set up in the main room and keep all the hotel supplies and records in the back. It’s a bit of a climb to get up here, but it’s a good spot for us. We can hear the kids playing at the school during their breaks, which is a nice change from the sound of the machines down the road. We deal with all the daily stuff for the hotel, from guest lists to maintenance schedules. Sometimes the power goes out in this part of Vatva, so we have to keep candles and a backup battery ready. It’s not a fancy lifestyle, just regular work to make sure the hotel stays running like it should. We’ve been here at Somata for a while now and the locals know us. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay on top of everything. The school bell is usually our clock.
