The Metropole Hotel

The Metropole Hotel is at 139, Maharathi Society in Sardarnagar. Since we are in the 382475 area of Ahmedabad, we are quite close to the airport, which means we get a lot of travelers coming through. Some people are just here for a few hours between flights, and others stay for a few days. The lobby is usually busy with people dragging suitcases and asking for directions. We spend most of our time at the desk checking IDs and handing out keys. It is a lot of work to keep the rooms ready because as soon as one person leaves, another one seems to arrive. Our staff is used to the pace and we just keep moving to get everything done. We do not have fancy uniforms or a big corporate script to follow. We just talk to people like normal and try to help them with whatever they need. Sometimes the kitchen gets a bit chaotic during breakfast time, but we manage to get the tea and coffee out. It is a straightforward hotel where we focus on the basics. The neighborhood around Maharathi Society is always active, so there is plenty to see if you walk outside. We just try to keep the place running smoothly so the guests can get some rest before their next flight.
