Telco Construction Equipments Co Ltd is based up on the 9th floor of Parshwa Tower. We are at unit 902, right near the Rajpath Club on the Sarkhej Gandhinagar Highway. Being up that high gives us a good view of the highway traffic, which is usually backed up during rush hour. It’s a different world up here compared to the dusty construction sites where our equipment actually works. In this office, it’s mostly about logistics, sales records, and coordinating with the guys in the field. We have a lot of brochures for excavators and backhoes lying around on the tables. The air conditioning is always running because the Ahmedabad sun is no joke, especially through those big windows. It’s a professional space but it’s not stiff. We talk about our families and the local news while we wait for the printer to finish its job. Sometimes the elevators in the tower take forever, so we’ve learned to be patient. We handle the heavy machinery business from behind these desks, making sure the right parts get to the right places. It’s a lot of coordination and phone calls. We don’t have a fancy lounge or anything, just some chairs for visitors and a pantry that’s mostly used for making coffee. We keep things simple and focus on making sure the equipment side of the business stays moving without any big hiccups.
