L&T Ecc, Plant & Machinery Division

L&T Ecc, specifically the Plant & Machinery Division, is found at 4/291 on 9th Street in V.S.K. Nagar. We are located in K. Vadamadurai, which is a part of Coimbatore that has a lot of this kind of industrial work going on. Our yard is usually filled with big machines and heavy equipment that need looking after. There is always a smell of grease and metal in the air, and our clothes usually end up with a few stains by the end of the day. We spend a lot of time checking on parts and making sure the maintenance schedules are followed. It gets quite hot on 9th Street during the summer, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early in the morning. Our team is used to the hard work and we do not spend much time in the office unless we have to fill out the logbooks. Sometimes a machine comes in that is a real puzzle to fix, and we all stand around it trying to figure it out together. We do not have polished floors or fancy furniture here, just a lot of iron and tools. It is a practical place where we keep the equipment running so it can be sent out to the job sites. We just take it one day at a time, keeping the gear in good shape.
