Our office is up on the 7th floor of Shapath II, right on S.G. Road. It’s a pretty well-known building, mostly because it’s right across from the Rajpath Club. From the window, you can see the cars zooming by on the highway all day long. We work on solar solutions, so we talk about the sun and rooftops pretty much from morning till evening. It’s a decent office, but we aren't the type to have a fancy reception desk with someone waiting to take your coat. Usually, someone just shouts a quick hello from their desk when you walk in. The lift in this building can be slow during lunch hour, which is a bit of a nuisance when you are hungry. S.G. Road is always changing, with new shops and buildings popping up, but we’ve stayed put at 705 for a while. It’s a convenient spot for meeting people, though the traffic at the circle can be a real nightmare in the evenings. We spend our time looking at drawings and calculating how many panels will fit on a shed or a house. It’s practical work. We don't use big words to describe what we do; we just install solar systems and hope the weather stays clear. On Fridays, we usually wrap up a bit early if the work is done. It is just us here.
