We are tucked away in the Shreeram Estate, near the Kathawara GIDC. If you’re looking for us, we are right behind the Billeshwar Estate on the Odhav Ring Road. It’s B/80. This area of Ahmedabad is very industrial, lots of trucks and movement all day long. Ugam Beam Science is where we do our daily work. The ring road is always busy, so getting in and out takes a bit of patience. We have a workshop-style setup because of the nature of beam science and the equipment we use. It’s not a corporate high-rise, just a practical space in a busy estate. Most of the people working here have been in the industry for years. We deal with various technical components and manufacturing processes. The air is often thick with the smell of machinery and metal. We usually have tea together in the afternoon when things slow down for a minute. It’s a practical environment. We don’t have a fancy reception area. If someone visits, they usually walk straight into the workspace. The heat in Ahmedabad can be tough in the summers, especially in a warehouse-style building like ours, but we keep the fans going. It’s a no-nonsense kind of place. We focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay organized despite the chaos of the industrial zone. Most of our day is spent on the floor or at the workbenches. That is how we have always done things here.
