Our office is located at 32/190 in Pragatinagar, which is part of the Naranpura area in Ahmedabad. This isn't one of the big hotel buildings you might see in the brochures for the Taj Group Of Hotels. Instead, this is where some of the administrative and back-end work happens for the group. Naranpura is a busy residential and commercial mix, so there is always a lot of movement on the streets outside. We have a modest setup here with just enough space for our desks and a few files. It is a practical place where we keep track of things and make sure everything is running as it should. The Ahmedabad sun can be pretty intense, so we stay indoors for most of the day under the ceiling fans. We are not here to give you a sales pitch or show off anything fancy. It is just a regular office where real people are working every day. Some of us have been with the company for a long time and have seen how the city has grown around this neighborhood. We drink our chai, handle the paperwork, and talk to colleagues over the phone. It is not a glamorous spot, but it is an important one for keeping things organized. People often walk by without realizing what is going on inside, which is fine with us. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay on top of the daily grind in Pragatinagar.
