Swastik Medical And General Stores is located at Shop No-8 in the Umiya Vijay Shopping Centre. We are right across from Bheema Nagar at the Shivranjani Cross Roads. It’s a busy intersection, so there’s always something happening outside our door. I’ve been running this store for a long time now. We sell medicines and all kinds of daily essentials that people in Shivranjani need. The shopping centre is an older building, but it’s a good spot for us. I usually spend my mornings talking to the delivery guys and making sure the fridge for the vaccines is running right. It’s a lot of work keeping track of all the different tablets and tonics. Some days I’m so busy I don’t even get a chance to sit down for lunch until late in the afternoon. We know most of the families around here because they’ve been coming to us for years. It’s not a corporate business; it’s just me and a couple of helpers trying to do a good job. We don’t have any big slogans or marketing plans. We just want to make sure when someone walks in with a prescription, we can help them out. The traffic at the cross roads can be loud, but it brings in people who are just passing through too. We’re just a regular part of the neighborhood, doing our daily business and keeping the shelves as stocked as we can.
