Surya Metal Industries

Out here in Odhav, things are always moving. Surya Metal Industries is tucked away at 133, G.V.M.M, and if you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it’s mostly workshops and trucks. We spend our days surrounded by the sound of machinery and the smell of metal. It’s noisy and dusty, but that’s just how an industrial estate works. We started small and stayed that way, focusing on the work right in front of us. Most of the guys here have been with us for years, so we’re more like a family than a big corporation. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby with soft chairs. If you come by, you’ll probably find us on the floor checking on an order or talking to one of the drivers. The building at 133 isn't much to look at from the outside, but it’s where everything happens for us. We deal with the heat in the summer and the rain that sometimes leaks through the old roof bits. It’s honest work. We don’t really do big meetings or long emails. If something needs doing, we just talk it out over a quick break. Being in G.V.M.M means we are right in the middle of all the action, which helps with getting supplies in and out. It’s a busy life, but we like the pace of it and the people we work with every day.
