Somnath Moulds

Somnath Moulds is situated at 33, Krishna Estate. It’s a bit of a journey to find us if you don't know the area. We are located behind B.O.C. Gases and right across from Gopinath Estate. We’re also near Soni'S Chawl, just off National Highway Number 8 in Rakhial. It’s an industrial neighborhood through and through. The sound of trucks on the highway is the background music to our entire day. The Krishna Estate is a busy place with a lot of different businesses running at once. Our workshop is filled with the smell of metal and grease. We have various moulds piled up and the machines are usually running from early morning until late. It’s not a clean or quiet place, but it’s where the work gets done. We have a small desk near the front where we keep the ledger and take calls, but most of our time is spent on the shop floor. The heat from the machines can be quite intense, especially in the summer months. We all wear old clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. Rakhial is a tough area, but it’s practical for what we do. We’ve got everything we need right here. We don't bother with fancy signs or marketing; people who need moulds usually find their way to us by word of mouth or by spotting our gate in the estate. It’s a long day every day, but we manage.
