You can find us at Plot No. 10 in Phase-1 of the G.I.D.C. in Vatva, right behind Prashant Engineering. This is a very industrial area, so it’s mostly factories and warehouses around here. Smit Medimed Pvt. Ltd. is right in the thick of it. We manufacture medical products, so the building is full of machines and storage racks. It’s not a place for visitors really, as it’s quite noisy and can get very hot in the summer. We don't have any corporate polish or a fancy office. We just have a place where we can work and make things. The people who work here are mostly from the local area. We’ve been here in Vatva for a long time and we know the rhythms of the G.I.D.C. zone. Sometimes there are power cuts or the trucks can’t get through the narrow lanes, but we just deal with it. We don't have a big marketing team or a mission statement. We just focus on the production line and making sure the quality is okay. It’s a lot of physical labor and staying on top of the manufacturing schedule. We spend our days checking the machines and packing the finished goods into crates. It’s honest, steady work and we don't try to make it sound like anything else. We just keep the factory running.
