Simandhar Medical & Provision Store

We have been here at the Ground Floor of Goyal Intercity for a while now. Surdhara Circle gets pretty busy, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading out to work. Our shop is a mix of things, really. People come in for their regular medicine, but then they remember they need some grocery items too, so we keep both. It’s just easier that way for the neighbors in Ahmedabad. The weather here can be tough, so we try to keep the shop cool for whoever drops by. Sometimes we run out of things if the delivery is late, but we usually get it back in stock by the next day. It is a family effort mostly. My brother and I take turns sitting at the counter. We know most of the faces around here by name. It is not a fancy place with bright lights or anything. Just a regular shop where you can find your tablets and maybe some snacks or oil. We try to keep the shelves organized, though it gets messy when we are unpacking new crates. It is a lot of work keeping track of expiry dates and all that. But we have lived in this part of Ahmedabad for years, so it feels right being here. If you are walking past the Intercity building, you will see us right there. We are usually open early and stay until the dinner rush settles down. Nothing special, just a local store for local people.
