Shyam Plastic Machinery

You’ll find us in Phase IV of the GIDC in Vatva, at plot C-1/4512. Vatva is a huge industrial estate, and we are right in the middle of all the manufacturing action. Our shop is where we work on plastic machinery, so there’s always the sound of metal being cut or parts being fitted together. It’s a loud place, and you definitely won't find anyone wearing a white shirt that stays clean for long. We have various machines in different stages of being built or repaired scattered across the floor. The office is just a small partitioned-off corner where we handle the bills and talk to customers who drop by. It gets quite hot in the shed during the summer months, but we just keep the big doors open and get on with the work. We’ve got a small team of guys who know these machines inside and out. Most of our days are spent with wrenches in hand, adjusting settings or fixing a component that isn't quite right. There isn't much in the way of landscaping or nice views—just other factories and the occasional tea stall nearby. It’s a practical, hardworking environment where the goal is just to make sure the machinery we build does what it's supposed to do. We don't bother with much else besides the job at hand and keeping the workshop running. There is usually a layer of dust on everything, but that's just how it is here.
