We are at 205 in the New Cloth Market. As you can guess from the name, there’s a lot of cloth around here. The market is a world of its own. Shyam Fashion is our little corner of it. It’s a basic shop setup. We have shelves reaching up to the ceiling because space is hard to find. It’s often a bit messy with rolls of fabric or half-packed bags, but we know where the important stuff is. The hallways in the market are narrow and people are always rushing past. We don’t spend money on fancy rugs or expensive furniture. We have some plastic chairs and a solid table. That’s enough for us. Most of the people who come here have been coming for years. We don’t do much advertising. Word of mouth works well enough in a place like this. Sometimes we stay late to finish up some work, and the market gets really quiet then. It’s a different feeling. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the best, we just want to keep the shop running smoothly. It’s a simple goal. We like being part of the market community. You hear all the gossip and the news just by sitting here. It’s a good way to spend the day. We wouldn't want to be anywhere else. It’s where we belong. We just keep folding and stacking until it's time to lock up and head home.
