Shreeji Medical & General Store

Shreeji Medical & General Store is located in Shakti Apartment, right on the Vardan Tower Road. If you live in Naranpura or around Shastri Nagar, you've probably seen our sign while driving down the main road. We are at shop number 2/8. It’s a busy corner, especially in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work and stopping to pick up milk or medicine. We keep a bit of everything here, from bandages to biscuits. The shelves are packed pretty tight because we try to have whatever a household might need on short notice. It gets a bit cramped when more than three people are inside, but we make it work. I’ve been working behind this counter for years, and I’ve seen the kids in the neighborhood grow up and start coming in for their own families. The traffic on Shastri Nagar Main Road is always loud, but you get used to the sound of the horns after a while. We don't have a big team or anything, just a few of us who know where every single bottle and packet is hidden on the shelves. Sometimes we run out of things, but we always try to get them back in stock by the next day. It’s a lot of standing and reaching for high shelves, but it keeps us busy. We mostly just talk about the weather or the local news with the regulars. It’s a simple life running a shop like this, just taking care of the basics for the people nearby.
