You can find us at G/3 Sweni Complex, right near the Akhbarnagar Circle in Nava Wadaj. We are actually located just below the Vijay Co Op Bank, so it’s easy to spot if you’re looking for that landmark. The shop is filled with the smell of metal, grease, and sometimes paint, which is typical for a hardware store. We have rows of drawers full of screws, bolts, and all the small bits that people always seem to lose. It can get a bit dark inside the complex, so we keep the lights on even during the day. The noise from the circle is constant, with horns and buses passing by all the time. We spend a lot of our time helping people figure out which size of pipe or what kind of lock they need for their front door. Often, someone comes in with a broken piece of something and asks if we have a match for it. We usually have to dig through a few bins to find the right thing. There’s no air conditioning here, just a couple of ceiling fans that hum away while we work. It’s a practical kind of place. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local hardware shop where you can get your supplies. Sometimes the bank staff comes down for a quick chat or to buy something small for their office. We just take things one day at a time and try to stay organized among all the heavy tools.
