Shahibaug Medical & Necessities

We are located over in the Navkar Complex, which is shop number 3 and 4, right near the HP Petrol Pump in Shahibaug. It is a decent spot and having two shop spaces means we have a bit more room than some of the other medical stores nearby. Since we are quite close to the Hathisinh Temple, there are always people walking around the area. We call the place Shahibaug Medical & Necessities because we try to stock more than just the usual prescriptions. You can find basic things for the house here, like toothpaste or bandages and even some snacks. The mornings are usually fairly quiet until the petrol pump starts getting a lot of cars. We spend that time checking our inventory and making sure everything is in the right place on the shelves. The ceilings are high, so we have a small wooden stool we move around to reach the top rows. It is mostly a family-run operation. We don’t have a big staff, just two or three of us who know where everything is kept. The complex stays pretty cool even when it is hot outside, which is nice for us. We get a lot of regular customers from the apartment buildings nearby. They usually come in with their monthly lists of medicines. We don't use a complicated computer system for everything, as a lot of our work is still done in handwritten ledgers. It is a bit old-fashioned but it works well for our daily routine.
