Our office is up on the 9th floor of Brooklyn Tower, right near the Y. M. C. A. Club on S. G. Highway. It’s a pretty busy part of Ahmedabad, so the view from the window usually involves a lot of traffic down below. We deal with surgical and chemical supplies, which means there’s always a lot of paperwork and phone calls happening throughout the day. The space is filled with files and samples. It’s not one of those ultra-modern startup offices with bean bags. It’s just a place where we sit down and coordinate with hospitals and suppliers. Sometimes the elevator takes a bit too long when everyone is trying to get to their floors, but once you're inside, it’s quiet enough to get things done. We have a small kitchen area where we brew coffee and chat about the weekend. The desks are usually cluttered with catalogs. We’ve been in Makarba for some time now, and we like being close to the highway because it makes things easier for logistics. It gets a bit hectic during the middle of the week when the shipments are moving, but we manage. People here are mostly focused on making sure the orders are accurate. We don't have a big corporate lobby or a receptionist in a suit. It’s just us working through the lists and keeping track of the stock. It feels like a normal, productive workspace. We just get on with it and try to stay organized.
