Our place is in the Ghantakaran Mahavir Commercial Market in Sarangpur. Specifically, we are at units C-101 and 102. It's a big wholesale market, so it’s always chaotic and loud. We handle yarn and textiles. The units are filled with big sacks and cones of thread stacked to the ceiling. It’s not really a place for customers to come and browse like a boutique. It’s more about bulk orders and shipping things out to the factories. The air in the market is always thick with lint and dust. We wear masks sometimes when we are moving a lot of stock around. My brother handles the books and I handle the workers. We’ve been in Sarangpur for years. It's a maze of shops here. If you don't know the way, you'll get lost in the alleys between the blocks. We have a lot of regular buyers who just send a message and we load the truck. Sometimes the trucks can't get close because the lanes are too narrow for them. Then we have to use handcarts to move everything to the main road. It’s hard work and your back hurts. We don't bother with fancy offices or anything. There’s a desk, a couple of chairs, and the rest is just storage space. We drink a lot of tea to stay awake during the long shifts. The market never really sleeps. We start early to avoid the worst of the afternoon heat. It’s just a standard business.
