S&S Architecture

Our office is based in Ahmedabad, specifically in the Bhadra area. We are located in Parishram Apartment, Block 1, Flat A1, which is over in Shivengoni Colony. It’s an older part of the city, and we’ve been working out of this apartment for a while now. Architecture is what we do all day, so you’ll find the place filled with sketches, site plans, and a fair amount of dust from all the paper. It’s a humble setup, not one of those glass-walled offices you see in the newer parts of town. We like it this way because it feels more grounded. Most of our time is spent looking at how to make the best use of a space or figuring out the structural needs for a new project. Being in Bhadra means we are right in the middle of a lot of activity, which can be noisy but keeps us connected to the city. There are usually a few of us here, hunched over desks or discussing a design detail over tea. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. People usually hear about us through word of mouth or just by seeing our signs. We just try to be practical and make sure our drawings actually translate well to the real world. It’s a lot of small details that eventually turn into a building, and that’s what we focus on every day. We just keep our heads down and get the plans finished.
