Our business is located at 28/1 in the Cloth Commercial Centre, which is right in the middle of Sakar Bazar. Sakar Bazar is a very old and crowded market, and it’s famous for all kinds of fabrics. Being here means we are right in the thick of things. The building we are in is quite old and the corridors are pretty narrow, which makes moving big rolls of cloth a real challenge. We spend a lot of our time just shifting fabric around and trying to find space for new arrivals. It’s a lot of physical work, and by the end of the day, our backs usually feel it. The office itself is just a small room with shelves from floor to ceiling, packed with different samples and ledgers. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just a few ceiling fans that struggle during the peak of summer. Sakar Bazar is a loud place with lots of shouting and the sound of carts being pushed over the uneven ground. We've been here for many years and we know most of the other traders around us. We often sit out for a bit in the evening to have tea and talk about how the market is doing. We don't do anything special or use fancy business terms. We just buy and sell cloth and try to keep our regular customers happy. It’s a traditional way of working and we like being part of the bazaar life.
