Our office is located in the Safal Prelude building, right across from SPIPA on Corporate Road. Prahladnagar is a busy part of Ahmedabad, so there’s always a lot of traffic and people moving around outside. Being on the second floor means we get a decent view of the street, but mostly we are looking at our desks and the cable samples we have lying around. We deal with various types of wires and machinery parts that go into making them. It’s not the quietest office because there is always someone on the phone or a technician dropping by to discuss a technical drawing. The commute can be a bit of a headache during peak hours, but that’s just city life for you. We keep things pretty simple here. There’s a small pantry where we make coffee, and most of the space is taken up by files and product catalogs. We aren’t big on corporate meetings; we usually just talk across the room if something needs doing. The Gujarat sun hits the windows in the afternoon, so the blinds stay down most of the time. We’ve been in this spot for some time and have seen the neighborhood grow around us. It’s a solid place to work from. We just focus on getting the technical specs right and keeping track of the production schedules. It’s not a flashy job, but it keeps us busy from morning till evening, and we get through the work.
