Sahakar Apparels

We are located in the Bangalore Textile Compound over in Danilimda. It is quite close to the Dhor Bazar. If you know that area, you know it is mostly industrial and very busy with trucks and workers everywhere. Sahakar Apparels started because we had a chance to get a space in this compound. It’s not a place where you go for a fancy shopping experience. It is more about getting things done. The building is older, and you can hear the machines running in the background most of the time. We have piles of garments ready to go. It gets quite dusty because of all the traffic outside, so we are always wiping things down. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. Most people find us because they are already in the compound for other business. We share tea with the guys from the next unit over. It is a friendly enough place, even if it looks a bit rough from the outside. We work long hours, especially when there is a big order to get out. The lighting inside isn't the best, but we can see well enough to check the seams and the fabric. It is just a regular life here in Ahmedabad. We don't try to make it sound like more than it is. We just focus on getting the clothes made and sent out to the people who need them.
